Hola! I can't believe how quickly the first quarter has gone! As we move forward, I have composed a set of Quizlet flashcards for the words we have worked on in the first quarter. If your student is finding themselves wanting a little more practice with these words, this is the perfect opportunity. There are flashcards and lots of fun games to play using the words. (Gravity and Match are my favorite!) Enjoy!

Señora Danver has taught 1st and 2nd gradeSpanish at IHPS and some of our 4th grade classes at the ES for the past 4 years. She enjoys running, reading, spending time outdoors, and playing with her bulldog, Lucy.

We feel our students are incredibly fortunate to be exposed to a world language at a young age. As a department, our philosophy is that the best way to learn a world language is through continued opportunities to hear, see, and speak the language. For this reason, our classes are conducted 95% in Spanish.Emphasis is placed on comprehension and fostering the continued development of the four language skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking). Our additional goals are to acquaint the children with another language, broaden their cultural awareness, and create an interest in world language study.
Quiero tus opiniones: It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of the year already! I'd like to see what you think about Spanish class. I will use your ideas and answers as I plan next year for us. The only person who will see your thoughts is me. Please think through each question. 3Lewis
